| KARIN LEOFANTI McCARTHY, a BSD alumni has been a member of our faculty for over twenty years. Karin is the owner/director of the BSD. She has been certified by test to teach by Dance Master of America and the Dance Teachers Club of Boston and is an active member taking master classes at every opportunity to continue her training. Karin continues to serve on the Board of Directors for Dance Masters of America. Karin has choreographed many award-winning routines for our students, including regional and national high scores. She is an extremely versatile teacher in that she teaches all forms of dance; ballet, modern, jazz, and tap. Many of Karin’s students continue to college dance programs throughout the United States and as professional dancers at Walt Disney World Orlando and in NYC. Karin has choreographed for the Worcester Light Opera Children’s Program and is a graduate of the John Robert Powers Modeling Association. She would like to thank all the parents, students, the amazing BSD Faculty, and her family for making the BSD a great family place to grow up!! |
| JUDY CAFORIO BOUCHER has been involved in dance for over forty years and was the owner and Artistic Director of the Boucher School of Dance for twenty-five years. Judy retired to the Cape and continues to be a highly valued studio consultant. She continues to teach solos, productions, and occasional classes. She has been certified by test to teach by Dance Masters of America and the Dance Teachers Club of Boston, Incorporated with the American Society of Dance. Many of her students have or currently are majoring in dance in college and have become professional teachers and dancers. Students from her studio have been the recipients of many scholarships, titles and competition awards, including overall high for soloists and groups at all age levels at both regional and national levels. Judy has judged dance competitions for Star Systems and I Love Dance throughout the United States and Canada. The BSD family has the utmost respect and love for Judy. |
VALERIE AGOS, a former student, has been a member of our faculty for
the past twenty years. Valerie teaches beginner and intermediate classes in
ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap. She continues her training by attending seminars
for dance teachers and has been certified by test to teach by the Dance Teachers
Club of Boston. She has been the recipient of many competition awards and has
produced several award-winning competition pieces for our students. Valerie has
an associate’s degree in Accounting from Quinsigamond Community College and
attended Kennedy Western University online for a BA in business management.
Valerie worked for McCoy’s Action Karate as a choreographer. Valerie is also
employed by Donahue Models of Providence, Rhode Island, and Charlton Furniture.

KERRI ANN KUDLA – Kerri Ann Kudla was born and raised in Sutton, Massachusetts. She was introduced to the world of dance at the early age of three and has been infatuated with the moving body ever since. Her performing career began in high school, where her dancing endeavors awarded her many touring opportunities throughout the East and West Coast. She performed and competed as far as Lake Tahoe to New York City and back to her home town in Worcester County. After graduating from high school she continued her education at Dean College, with an emphasis in Modern dance. While attending college she joined the Boston Dance Company and toured the state performing professionally. After graduating with her Associates degree she then continued her education at the University of South Florida receiving her BFA, furthering her training in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, African Dance and Cultural Dance. Curriculum also included Choreography, Dance History, Kinesiology, Movement Analysis, Pedagogy, and multi-media production. While she continued to study she also performed both Modern and African Dance techniques. After college, Kerri Ann dove into the world of dance education and has been teaching and choreographing for the last 7 years. She continues her own education by taking workshops through Dance Masters of America and is always eager to continue with her professional dance career. She currently is working with a New Hampshire based Modern Dance Company, “Tributary Dance”. Kerri Ann teaches intermediate to advance: Ballet, Modern, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Intermediate Tap. She is proud to work with children and enjoys passing her knowledge and enthusiasm for dance to others. Her passion thrives in her will to educate, mentor and lead aspiring professionals. |
JILLIAN DOMINGS – Jillian began teaching at BSD in September of 2004
after graduating from Bridgewater State College with a degree in Dance Education
and minor in Special Ed. While attending Bridgewater State, she was an active
member of the Dance Company and also choreographed for many of their shows.
Jillian has been working with children for many years not only as a dance
instructor but also as a nanny and preschool aid. Here at the BSD Jillian
teaches many classes of all ages from infants to teenagers. Working with
children truly comes naturally to Jillian and she is a valued part of the
Boucher School of Dance. Congratulations to Jillian and her husband Nick on the
birth of their daughter Sage in December. |
| HEATHER SAAD– This is Heather’s fifth year on faculty. She is presently a teacher of hip-hop, jazz, kinder, and pre-k classes. Heather has choreographed numerous award winning routines for the BSD. She has also taught for other Worcester County studios. She is employed at UMASS. Heather has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. We are thrilled to have Heather as a part of the BSD team. Heather’s bright smile and kindness is reflected in her praises from her students! |
| DEVON TREMBLAY - TYRRELL –BSD alumni, teaches beginner – advanced classes in ballet, modern, jazz as well as some young ballet classes. Devon is currently working with some intensive dancers on very successful competitive pieces. Devon graduated from Dean College in May 2008 with a BA in Dance. We are so very proud of her! Devon’s unique choreography is an asset to our dancers. Congratulations to Devon on her recent marriage to Chris Tyrrell. The BSD welcomes baby Jameson and congratulates Chris and Devon on his birth in April. |
ASHLEY MASSE – is a former BSD student who has been studying dance
since the age of 5. She has an Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts from Dean College
and is currently attending Worcester State College for her nursing degree.
Ashley was a member of the dance team and dance company at Worcester State
College, and continues her study of dance. This is Ashley’s second year teaching
for the BSD. Congratulations to Ashley winning the Young Choreography Award for
her modern dance “Gravity” at the American Dance Awards Competition in April. |

RACHEL WHITE
- began her training at the New Haven Ballet in Connecticut. She
graduated high school from the prestigious University of North Carolina
School of the Arts in Winston-Salem as a ballet major. Rachel also
trained with the School of American Ballet, the Pacific Northwest
Ballet, the Hartford Ballet before joining Boston Ballet’s BBII. After
retiring from the stage, Rachel served on the faculty of both the School
of Dance Connecticut (formally the School of the Hartford Ballet) and
the city of Hartford’s Dance Program for City Youth. Rachel is certified
by New York City Ballet as a trainer in the NYCB Workout. She is a
certified member of Dance Masters of America and served on the
Chapter’#5 New England ’s Board of Directors from 2009-2011. She is a
certified Ballet Examiner for the chapter and has taught for many other
chapters throughout the country. Rachel is currently enrolled in
American Ballet Theatre’s Teacher Certification Program is due to
graduate in 2012 with full certification. Rachel is a highly respected
and in demand ballet teacher thorough New England and across the US. In
addition to teaching, Rachel is an established adjudicator and has
served on the panels for competitions throughout the United States and
Canada. |
